Family and Children’s Portrait photographer Simon Archer works in a relaxed style to create natural, timeless portraits that can be cherished forever.
Studio Family Portrait Session
There is no cost for a studio session, however a €75 deposit is required on the day - this is then used as credit when ordering.
Session can last approximately 40 minutes. In this time many different poses will be shot - children on their own, siblings together, family group etc.
Images from your photo shoot will be put on Simon Archer Photography website and you will be given a password to view images.
Alternatively, you can arrange a suitable time to return to the studio to view your images and framed suggestions for your final choices.

What to wear
There are no strict rules to what to wear for a photo shoot. However…
If you want ‘Sunday Best’ then make sure everyone is dressed similarly.
Casual is always a good choice - and generally ages better - light tops and jeans for example.
If casual is what you are going for than make sure someone is not wearing a bright red top while the others are in white.
Try to avoid stripes, busy patterns and prints including large logos on clothing - these just take the attention away from the subject ie. you and your family.
Co-ordinate colours - pastels are always a favourite.
Avoid heavy or shiny make-up as this will only make you stand out beside your children’s natural skin colours.
Location Shoots
If you have a favourite location or would prefer an outdoor setting Simon Archer Photography would be more than happy to oblige. We are blessed with some fabulous settings on the northside of Dublin, weather dependent of course!
