Simon Archer Photography specialises in Children’s Portraits.
With over 15 years experience in photographing children, and with three children of his own, Simon is well used to putting children at their ease resulting in photos that are casual and relaxed.
Studio Portrait Session
There is no cost for a studio session, however a €75 deposit is required on the day - this is then used as credit when ordering.
Session can last approximately 40 minutes - or whenever your child decides ‘enough is enough’!
Boxed-in, or Box Portraits, are also a great way to photograph children and families.
Images from your photo shoot will be put on Simon Archer Photography website and you will be given a password to view images.
Alternatively, you can arrange a suitable time to return to the studio to view your images and framed suggestions for your final choices.

What to wear
There are no strict rules to what to wear for a photo shoot. However…
Casual is always a good choice - and generally ages better - light tops and jeans for example.
Avoid stripes, busy patterns and prints including large logos on clothing.
If there’s more than one being photographed make sure colours compliment each other eg. don’t have big brother in white and little brother in a bright red top.
Co-ordinate colours - pastels are always a favourite.
Many parents arrive to the studio with the intention of only having their children photographed. This very often returns to regret when it’s too late. Be brave and be prepared to join in! You won’t regret it, and remember - there’s no obligation to buy so what do you have to lose?
Location Shoots
If you have a favourite location or would prefer an outdoor setting Simon Archer Photography would be more than happy to oblige. We are blessed with some fabulous settings on the northside of Dublin, weather dependent of course!
There is a €60 fee for a location shoot.
